(scomber scombrus)

We process round frozen mackerel. Packed in cartons with polysheet inside, it's normally sold in 10 and 20 kg units. The mackerel is size-graded before weighting and packing. Normally we grade 200-400 g, 300-500 g, 400-600 g and 600 g up.

Our plant is located close to the north Atlantic fishing grounds, known for their rich fish resources and their cold clean waters.


The fish caught on these grounds are of excellent quality.

We're registered with the Norwegian Food Safety Authority.

HistorY

During the first year of business, the storehouse of the Tranvåg farm served as warehouse for the fish. In 1915 the first plant was built. It was replaced by a bigger wooden building in 1926, and in 1946 the extention of the plant started on a larger scale. This has continued up to present time.

In 2011 a 27 000m3 reefer store was added.
